Can I put a dress on hold?
Yes you can. You do not need to put a deposit down for the dress but it will only be held for 1 business day.
Is it possible to buy a dress via layby?
Yes. A 20% non-refundable deposit payment is required in order to secure the dress for a 6 week period. You can pay off the dress anytime within 6 weeks of paying the initial amount. If you exceed the time limit for the layby, you will lose the deposit amount and the hold on the dress. Our staff will call you to remind you if we have still not heard from you close to the due date.
What forms of payment does Mavidy Studios accept?
We accept Credit Card, EFTPOS, Cash and PayPal.. We do not accept cheques.
Do Mavidy Studios offer alteration services? What about tailor-made dresses?
We only offer alteration services for dresses purchased in our shop. However, we limit alterations to minor adjustments only.
What can be done if I really like a dress in the store but it is too big or too small for me?
If your favourite in-store dress is not close in size to your figure, we can tailor-make another dress at your request to match your size after taking your measurements. Some conditions apply, including payment of a 20% non-refundable deposit and an additional measuring, making and delivering charge totaling $99 in order to begin the dress making process. Please Note - It is important that you either bring the shoes that you will wear with the dress at your event or high heels of a similar height so that we can accurately measure the hem.
If I send you photos of a dress I like, can you make it?
In most cases, our answer is yes. Factors that contribute to our decision are the quality and angles of your photos as well as the availability of selected fabrics, colours, beads and other ornamental decorations. Dresses that are quoted to be made from either a client's photos or drawings will again require a non-refundable deposit of 20% as well as the standard $99 measuring, making and delivering fee mentioned above. Please Note - It is important that you either bring the shoes that you will wear with the dress at your event or high heels of a similar height so that we can accurately measure the hem.
Are there any particular shop policies that I need to be aware of?
Yes. These policies are also located inside the shop. Firstly, please do not bring food or drink into the shop at anytime. Secondly, we have strict no refund policy so please choose your products carefully.
What is this FREE Photo-Shoot offer?
Any client who buys a non-discounted Bridal or Formal dress from Mavidy Studios is entitled to a free photo-shoot. For full details, please download our Photography Packages PDF.
Does Mavidy Studios offer dress steaming services?
Yes we do. Our Team use the most advanced dress steamer in the industry. The cost to steam a Formal Dress is $20. The cost to steam a Wedding Dress is $30. It usually takes 1-2 business days for your dress to be ready. Our shop staff will notify you once it is ready for pick-up.
Can I rent Bridal or Formal Gowns? What about Bridal Gown Hoops?
Unfortunately, we do not rent out our dresses. We do however rent out our Bridal Gown Hoops for $25 per day.
Are all the dresses brand new or are there second hand or older ones too?
All our dresses are new. We abide by this policy because firstly, we do not believe that you should be wearing anything less than brand new on your special day. Secondly, we have yet to encounter a client who has returned their dress as they have been happy with the friendly service, gorgeous gowns and stunning photography that they have received. |
